When it comes to the Dabuxun Line work area, the cadres and workers on the Qinghai Tibet Line are not unaware, because it is the birthplace of the spirit of "hardship, entrepreneurship, unity and dedication" on the Qinghai Tibet Line. The work area is located on the northeast edge of the Cha'erhan Salt Lake in the Chaidamu Basin, just in the middle of the famous "Wanzhang Salt Bridge". In Mongolian, 'Dabuxun' means' white ocean ', but this' ocean' is not gentle, with an altitude of nearly 3000 meters. Dry and cold is the norm, and salt alkali winds carrying mineral crystals ravage throughout the year.

Cars walk on salt, water flows under salt. The unique geographical environment has created rare maintenance challenges in railway history. Here, sand damage, water damage, and saline soil subgrade diseases are intertwined and overlapped, and cave erosion and alkali wind erosion constantly threaten the safety of the railway line. According to Zhang Chunhu, a maintenance worker at the Wanzhang Salt Bridge section of the Dabuxun Line work area, 20 kilometers of the 52 kilometer main line under the jurisdiction of the Dabuxun work area are laid on saline soil subgrade. In order to maintain the safety of these 20 kilometers, the workers in the work area have put in unimaginable efforts, and their workload accounts for 80% of the entire work area. The road of 'Salt Bridge' is paved with perseverance.

Now, columns of steel dragons loaded with supplies smoothly pass through the Qarhan Salt Lake, shining brightly with the blue sky and pure white salt crystals.
