On June 24th, after more than 12 hours of continuous and meticulous crackdown, the Jiande police successfully dismantled a criminal gang that illegally set up bets on World Cup matches, arrested 8 suspects, and involved a total of more than 1 million yuan in funds.

In the early stage, Jiande Public Security found that a gang had opened a "World Cup overseas gambling booth", using high odds and accurate predictions as bait to induce netizens and friends to bet and participate in gambling, breeding negative social risks. Jiande Public Security immediately established a special task force, coordinating multiple police departments to conduct in-depth tracing, trajectory analysis, and fund verification, quickly understanding the organizational structure and operational mode of the gang, and obtaining evidence of its entire chain of gambling crimes.

After investigation, the gambling gang has clear division of labor and strong concealment. The gang relies on cross-border gambling websites, with dedicated personnel manipulating the betting market for matches, recruiting online gamblers to place bets, and illegally profiting by extracting betting turnover rebates. This type of gambling mode is extremely confusing and has many tricks of speech, which can easily mislead the public into getting trapped in the gambling game and suffering property losses. It can also lead to secondary risks such as loans, disputes, and fraud, seriously disrupting social order.

After fixing the complete evidence of the crime, the special task force deployed accurately, synchronized multiple channels to collect the network, and after more than 12 hours of continuous attacks, successfully captured 8 suspects involved in the case. After their arrival, the three main suspects confessed to the criminal facts of using the World Cup to open online gambling games, organizing others to gamble and profit from it, and have been criminally detained by Jiande Public Security. Among the remaining 5 people, 4 have been administratively punished for participating in gambling, and the case is being further processed.

The police solemnly remind that online gambling is not entertainment, but illegal! All "high odds, guaranteed profits, and accurate prediction of events" are harvesting scams set up by criminals. Both organizers and participants who participate in online gambling will be held accountable in accordance with the law.
