New Quick News On June 25th, the resource docking meeting for the second quarter of 2026 urban renewal projects in Guangzhou was successfully held in Sanhua Village, Huadu District. At the meeting, 23 market-oriented projects for urban renewal were released, with a total investment of approximately 21.9 billion yuan. The project covers the renovation and upgrading of urban villages, the renovation of dilapidated houses, the renewal of old neighborhoods, communities, and factories, the revitalization of existing resources, and the integrated operation of whole rental, providing diverse cooperation opportunities for various parties involved in project investment, planning, and operation.

This meeting is a continuous deepening and improvement of the normalized communication and cooperation mechanism between government, banks, and enterprises, following the investment negotiation conference for urban renewal projects in the first quarter. The aim is to build an efficient and pragmatic project docking platform and guide more social forces to participate in urban renewal. The conference was hosted by the Guangzhou Urban Renewal Work Leading Group Office and the Huadu District Government. More than 150 representatives from relevant departments of the city, district governments, financial institutions, enterprises, and industry associations attended the conference.

The Municipal Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau interpreted the relevant policies of the "Supplementary Reform Investment" pilot program in the field of urban renewal in Guangzhou, focusing on the specific measures taken by the policy to solve the problem of raising project capital, leverage fiscal funds, and enhance the financing capacity of project implementation entities. The Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism shared a new idea for the integrated development of urban renewal and star rated hotels, proposing to implant new functions such as hotels and cultural tourism into existing properties, historical buildings, ancient villages and houses, and explore the path of "revitalizing existing properties, reshaping functions, and improving quality". Chengfa Fund introduced Chinese public REITs and shared practical experience in urban renewal projects, providing innovative ideas and practical references for financial empowerment of urban renewal for all participants. The Huadu District Government introduced the overall situation of urban renewal projects in the entire district and provided detailed recommendations on relevant key projects, comprehensively demonstrating the practical exploration and cooperation opportunities of Huadu District in revitalizing existing renewal resources, renovating dilapidated houses, and protecting and revitalizing historical and cultural heritage.

The attending units actively interacted, conducted in-depth exchanges on project financing needs, implementation paths, and cooperation models, and conducted on-site inspections of the Sanhua Village project to gain a deeper understanding of the project's reliance on the millennium old Guangfu Water Town ancient village and rich ancestral hall cultural resources. They coordinated the promotion of old building renovation, village environmental improvement, and cultural tourism node construction, and promoted the practical achievements and innovative highlights of the integration of historical and cultural protection and urban renewal development.
