On September 29th, Caixin News Agency reported that the Ministry of Transport and twelve other departments jointly issued the "Action Plan for Promoting High Quality Development of Multimodal Transport, Optimizing and Adjusting Transport Structure (2026-2030)". It is proposed that by 2030, breakthrough progress will be made in the development of multimodal transport, promoting the upgrading of multimodal transport functions in about 1000 major freight nodes, and the national multimodal transport infrastructure system of "comprehensive freight channels+key hub nodes+comprehensive coverage network" will be basically completed; The railway arrival rate in the coastal port multimodal transport port area has reached 80%, and the one hour loading rate for multimodal transport exceeds 90%; The standards for multimodal transport system are basically sound, and the "one bill system" and "one box system" are widely used; The transportation structure has been significantly optimized, and the turnover of goods by railways and waterways in China continues to grow. The proportion of major coastal ports using sparse port railways, waterways, closed belt corridors, and new energy trucks to transport bulk goods is striving to reach over 90%. The proportion of clean transportation within key inland ports, large logistics parks, and large-scale industrial parks is striving to reach 80%. In the long-distance transportation of coal and coke (with a distance of over 500 kilometers) in large industrial and mining enterprises in the new coal producing areas of Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Inner Mongolia, the proportion of railway transportation is striving to reach about 95%.
