On October 8th, Chinese Online announced that based on comprehensive considerations of market environment and the company's own development plan, and adhering to the principles of safeguarding shareholder interests and being responsible to shareholders, the company has decided to terminate the issuance of H-share stocks and list them on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The announcement also stated that the company's current operating conditions are normal, and this adjustment will not have a significant impact on the company's business activities and sustainable development.

According to the company's 2026 semi annual report, it achieved a revenue of 578 million yuan in the first half of the year, with a significant year-on-year decrease of over 80% in net profit attributable to the parent company; The overall gross profit margin increased to 49.58%, a year-on-year increase of 17.71 percentage points; The net cash flow from operating activities changed from negative to positive, reaching 127 million yuan, and both the quality of profits and the cash flow situation improved.

Among them, overseas business and AI content production have become clear business highlights. Flagship overseas short drama platform FlareFlow has launched nearly 7000 TV series and achieved monthly operational breakeven ahead of schedule; AI technology has also penetrated into the production process of short dramas. The company disclosed that the production cost of AI short dramas has decreased by 80% to 90% compared to traditional reality dramas, and the production efficiency has been improved by 5 to 20 times.

At the same time, the company continues to advance IP development, AI content production, and overseas digital content business. With over 5.6 million digital content works and a content reserve of over 4 million registered authors, Chinese Online is attempting to further improve IP development efficiency and shorten content production and commercialization cycles through AI technology.

From the currently disclosed information, the termination of H-share listing is more reflected as a phased adjustment of the capital market path, and has not changed the company's current main business direction. For Chinese online, the focus of market attention in the future will also return more to the operation itself: whether overseas business can continuously improve profitability, whether AI can further enhance content production efficiency, and whether IP assets can be continuously converted into revenue, profit, and cash flow.
