699 A-level scenic spots in Henan Province are temporarily closed, and 120 level homestays are closed

Economic Observation Network According to the CCTV News app, starting from August 10th, many areas in Henan province have experienced heavy rainfall and strong winds, increasing the risk of flash floods and geological disasters in mountainous, water related, and canyon related areas.

The reporter learned from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Henan Province that as of August 12th, out of 859 A-level tourist attractions in Henan Province, 699 have temporarily closed or suspended receiving tourists, with a closure rate of over 80%. In the closed garden scenic area, there are a total of 129 grain crops related to mountains and valleys.

  • All A-level scenic spots and some cultural and museum venues in Zhengzhou have suspended operation;
  • All A-level tourist attractions in Zhoukou City have been closed;
  • There are a total of 27 A-level scenic spots in Puyang City, all of which have been closed;
  • All 25 A-level scenic spots in Kaifeng City have been closed.

In addition, 120 level tourist homestays in the province have closed down.
