In April of this year, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism named the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area as having problems such as unreasonable shuttle bus fees and unscientific tour route settings. In May, the public opinion related to the toll of road ferries in scenic areas sparked a heated discussion across the internet.
Regarding the issue of ticket prices that tourists are concerned about, the local government has initiated a cost monitoring and review of tour buses. Subsequently, price hearings and full channel publicity will be conducted in accordance with the law. At present, the scenic area enterprises have obtained the road passenger transport operation license and will operate in accordance with regulations, pricing, and standardization.
In response to tourists' demand for self driving passage, the scenic area is prioritizing the parking needs of local residents and merchants, and is integrating surrounding parking resources. It plans to launch a self driving reservation service for tourists. Currently, the vehicle flow limit standards are being scientifically approved, and the plan will be promptly announced after approval.
According to statistics, after the suspension of transportation fees in the scenic area on May 29th, over 170000 tourists enjoyed free ferry services. In addition, the policy of free admission for college entrance examination students in scenic spots will be implemented on a regular basis, and from August 1st to October 31st, scenic spot tickets will also be waived for tourists from all over the country.
