On July 9, 2026, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the "China Database Industry Map (2026)" at the Trusted Database Conference. OceanBase achieved two key breakthroughs: first, to continue to maintain full coverage of the eight core industries, to remain a leader in the financial and telecommunications fields, and for the first time, to include "government affairs" in the leader map; The second is the addition of the "Vector Database" category in the technology sector. This marks the extension of its "lake library integration" AI database capability from core trading systems to the forefront of AI infrastructure.

At the meeting, OceanBase, together with China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Shenzhou Information, Neusoft Group, Hang Seng Electronics, and Huaxin Yongdao, officially released the key industry "AI Database" attack plan, aiming to promote more digital governments, central state-owned enterprises, and financial institutions to use AI databases to tackle key business loads and unleash AI innovation momentum.

Industry analysis suggests that since its release in 2025, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) has become an important coordinate for mapping the pattern of China's database industry. OceanBase's "one horizontal and one vertical" synchronous advancement this time - the vertical navigation map extends from finance and telecommunications to government affairs, and the horizontal technology map expands from HTAP to vector databases - means that its "lake library integration" technology route has been practically verified in key scenarios of core industries and emerging directions of AI.

Previously, OceanBase had released a lake library integrated AI database for the AI era, which unified the open and massive storage capabilities of data lakes, the transaction processing and analysis capabilities of databases, and the multimodal data processing capabilities into a strong and consistent data base, helping agents (intelligent agents) obtain complete business context at once, allowing AI to truly "understand" enterprises.

It is reported that based on 16 years of deep accumulation in key industries and technological breakthroughs in the integration of lake and library AI databases, this "tackling plan" will focus on two major battles: first, the battle of tackling key business loads, working together with partners to continuously tackle the transition of domestic databases from "usable" to "user-friendly", and jointly promoting the acceleration of full stack domestic upgrades in key industries; The second is the AI innovation acceleration battle, based on the integrated lake library AI database, to enable AI applications to be more accurate, cost-effective, and secure in key industries, accelerating the emergence of high-value AI applications in the national economy and people's livelihood fields.

Jin Jianming, General Manager of Solutions and Services at OceanBase China, said, "From financial core to government critical scenarios, from HTAP to vector databases, every expansion of OceanBase's territory follows the same logic - using a single engine to solve the unified problem of transactions, analysis, and AI. We hope to continue to truly integrate this set of capabilities into key industries of national economy and people's livelihood
