On the occasion of the 26th National Insurance Public Awareness Day, CCTV Finance invited three outstanding insurers from Ping An, China to have a dialogue on the same stage. They engage in discussions around topics such as industry changes, customer protection, and career future, presenting the development process of China's life insurance industry's high-quality transformation through personal career clues.

The three guests have different entry times and life experiences, and have rooted themselves in the insurance industry at their respective time points, jointly outlining the professional image of Chinese insurers.

Ye Yunyan, who has been in the industry for 29 years, is regarded as a legendary "fate rewriter" in the industryBefore entering the industry, she was a rural teacher with a monthly salary of 300 yuan on Ningde Island in Fujian Province. Her family background was ordinary and her residence was simple. In 1997, she entered the insurance industry with the idea of changing the fate of her family, despite the doubts of her relatives and friends.

At that time, with a body weight of less than 90 pounds, she carried a 16 pound information package and ran around the countryside streets and alleys. In her first year of employment, she achieved an annual salary of 100000 yuan and renovated her old house. Since joining Ping An, she has been honored as the National President of the Summit five times and ranked among the top three in the company for 22 consecutive years. At the same time, she insists on investing 20% of her annual income into public welfare undertakings, donating to the construction of 14 Hope Primary Schools, supporting multiple orphans and impoverished students, and extending the goodwill of insurance from families to society.

Xin Zhihua, who has been deeply involved in the industry for 17 years, is a "professional guardian" who adheres to long termismShe once worked as an insurance appraiser, facing the risks and aftermath of accidents, injuries, and other situations all year round. She witnessed the helplessness of ordinary families in the face of risks, which gave rise to her professional aspiration of "guarding in advance and building walls in advance".

Since entering the industry in 2009, she has deeply cultivated her profession with extreme self-discipline, insisting on daily on-the-job review and self funded education throughout the year. She has led her team members to achieve first place in the company's team performance for four consecutive years. She always polishes her services with a "basic skills" mentality, leading team members to interpret the long-term value of insurance services.

Yang Juqi, who has been in the industry for 7 years, is a "new generation pioneer" who breaks through boundariesShe has a high-quality resume in court work, simultaneous interpretation, and other fields, but she breaks the public's inherent perception of a "respectable profession" and enters the insurance industry with altruistic intentions.

After comparing the domestic and international insurance markets, she firmly believes in the development potential of China, abandons the utilitarian attitude of the industry, and adheres to the service principle of "helping people first, then closing deals". With professional competence and sincere service, she has grown rapidly and led the Ping An high talent team to deeply cultivate high net worth customer service, becoming one of the representatives of insurance practitioners in the new era.

The three guests have been in the industry for nearly thirty years, accurately reflecting the changes and iterations in China's life insurance industry.

In the 1990s, the industry began to take off. When Ye Yunyan entered the industry, she did not have advanced business tools and operating systems, and insurance agents only relied on one mouth and two legs to expand their business, resulting in low industry recognition.

When Xin Zhihua entered the industry in 2009, the industry was on the rise with the development of the national economy, but the service focus was still relatively single, and transactions relied entirely on personal sincerity and professionalism.

When Yang Juqi joined in 2019, the industry had officially begun its transformation and upgrading, with digital tools and comprehensive ecological platforms becoming the core empowerment tools for practitioners.

Nowadays, insurance has gradually shed traditional stereotypes and become an important support for the livelihood security system. Insurance agents have evolved from a single insurance salesperson to trustworthy "insurance experts, financial advisors, and health consultants", becoming a microcosm of the high-quality development of the industry. It is reported that Ping An has launched the "Insurance Health and Wellness Consultant High Talent Plan" with the aim of recruiting and cultivating new era "insurance entrepreneurs". Currently, it has attracted over 1700 outstanding talents to join, with over 80% having a bachelor's degree or above.

The insurance industry is accelerating its return to its roots, responding to the people's expectations for a better life with more professional service capabilities. As demonstrated by the three guests in the conversation, no matter how times change, the core value of insurance practitioners always lies in maintaining certainty for customers, conveying a sense of security to society, and giving more confidence to move forward. This may be the direction for the high-quality development of China's life insurance industry.
