On the same day, the management agency of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant announced on social media that the connection between the plant and the 330 kV "Ferrometal-1" line supplying power to it had been cut off due to the activation of automatic protective devices. The other 750 kV "Dnipropetrovskaya" line has stopped supplying power to the nuclear power plant since March 24th this year. Therefore, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lost its external power source and its own electricity was provided by a backup diesel generator.
