On January 9th, the launch ceremony of the "China Publishing and Media Business Daily Annual Good Book Release and Media Recommendation Alliance" was held at the Beijing Book Ordering Conference, with the theme of "Understanding the Truth through Books, Reading the Heart". The event released awards such as China Publishing Media Business's 2025 Good Books, International Publishing Weekly's 2025 "Going Global" and "Bringing in" Good Books, and Copyright Managers.

The "Media Book Recommendation Alliance" was jointly initiated by 15 media reading brands, including Beijing Radio and Television Station's "Bookish Beijing", Beijing Radio and Television Station's "Let's Read", Beijing News Broadcasting's "Story of the Editorial Department", Beijing Youth Art Review, "Super Love Reading", "International Publishing Weekly", Chinese Good Books, Economic Review, Sohu Culture, Searchlight Good Books, New Beijing News Book Review Weekly, CCTV's "Reading" column, CCTV's Reading Channel, China Publishing Media Business Daily's Good Book Exploration, and China Reading Daily's Book Review Weekly. The Taofen Foundation serves as the guiding unit of the alliance, while the Good Book Explorer of China Publishing Media Business serves as the liaison unit of the alliance.

On behalf of the Media Recommendation Alliance, Zheng Tian, Deputy General Manager of China Publishing and Media Business Newspaper, read out a proposal and sincerely urged all types of media with reading columns or content brands across the country to join hands to establish a Media Recommendation Alliance. With the power of the alliance, we will gather the light of media, recommend good books of the times, and help the whole nation read!

Huang Shuyuan, Vice Chairman of Taofen Foundation, pointed out in his speech that the official promulgation of the "Regulations on the Promotion of National Reading" marks a new stage of legal and standardized development in China's national reading industry. This is not only a strategic deployment of the Party and the country to promote the construction of a cultural power, but also a deep response to the expectations of millions of readers and the original intention of industry practice. To promote nationwide reading, the media and publishing industry have an unshirkable responsibility and work together in the same direction. This is precisely the original intention behind the emergence of the Media Book Recommendation Alliance, and it is also a vivid practice for us to fulfill our mission and promote reading for all. He hopes that the media participating in the alliance will follow the "Regulations on the Promotion of National Reading" as the fundamental principle, use the Media Recommendation Alliance as an important platform, inherit the spirit of perseverance, share cultural missions, and work together to promote the deepening, implementation, stability, and far-reaching development of national reading.
