At the same time, the establishment and improvement of an independent operating mechanism for "national assessment and national monitoring" has significantly enhanced the credibility of monitoring data, playing an important foundational role in comprehensively supporting the assessment of ecological environment, timely warning of ecological environment risks, and strengthening the public sharing of monitoring information.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment introduced that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, ecological environment monitoring has been included in the overall layout of ecological civilization system reform, accelerating the improvement of the integrated monitoring network of sky, earth, and sea. The "Regulations on Ecological Environment Monitoring" will be implemented from January 1, 2026, basically achieving the reform goal of "setting up comprehensive points, nationwide networking, automatic warning, and legal accountability". The person in charge stated that in the face of the 15th Five Year Plan, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment will focus on building a national monitoring network 2.0 version that is "full domain perception, human-machine collaboration, autonomous controllability, intelligent and efficient", supporting the construction of a beautiful China to make new significant progress.
