Private hospital, "desktop" oral procurement

On September 28, 2026, the National Healthcare Security Administration launched the second round of centralized procurement of oral implant systems in Ziyang, Sichuan. In the first round of centralized procurement over the past three years, the price of a single dental implant has decreased by about 8000 yuan, the number of surgeries in public medical institutions has increased by 680000, and the completion rate of agreement procurement has reached 143%. This round of continuous procurement will change the bidding mode to open inquiry, and for the first time, private dental medical institutions will be included in the formulation of rules. Nearly 18000 medical institutions participated in the first round of applications, with private institutions accounting for about 80%. The medical insurance department emphasizes "stabilizing clinical practice, ensuring quality, combating internal competition, and preventing bid rigging", promoting the industry to shift from price competition to technology and service competition.
