Research on the Quality Performance of Chinese Automotive Products: The average time for new cars to have quality problems for the first time is only 7.4 months

The research results on the quality performance of Chinese automotive products in 2026 were released in Beijing on September 16th. Data shows that from January to August this year, the Car Quality Network received nearly 180000 valid complaints, a year-on-year increase of 15.46%, of which quality complaints accounted for 77.07%. The problems with the intelligent cockpit, driving assistance, and "three electric" system are prominent, while the traditional powertrain and appearance quality have been improved. The NPS Research Report released on the same day showed that the industry's NPS index was 32.8, with a product experience mention rate of 70.6%. The industry has initiated the development of the first group standard for user perception quality evaluation of the "three electricity" system.
