From being a lone seedling in July to being eliminated again in August, the top ten selling gasoline cars will retreat to the "niche" track
According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, new energy vehicles accounted for 65.2% of the retail sales of passenger cars in August, with 1.005 million units sold; Retail sales of conventional fuel vehicles reached 540000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 40%, with pure fuel vehicles experiencing a year-on-year decline of 45%. In the top ten rankings of passenger car sales, there is once again a situation where all new energy vehicles are used. The only Toyota Corolla Levin that remained on the list in July this year fell off the list in August, and its ranking has dropped to 13th place. This year marks a turning point for fuel vehicles to lose ground. In the top ten list of passenger car sales in January, there were still 7 gasoline cars. Due to the impact of rising oil prices and price wars, gasoline cars fell out of the list for the first time in May. Afterwards, it rebounded for two months, but with the completion of the clearance of the national 6A new car inventory and the full recovery of the 10% fuel purchase tax from July, fuel cars once again collapsed in August. The industry predicts that fuel vehicles will enter a gradual decline phase in the future, maintaining a sporadic appearance and intermittent return to zero on the list. The best-selling passenger cars in August are still Geely Xingyuan, Zero Run A10, and Tesla Model Y. Relying on terminal price reductions, top tier fuel vehicles can still maintain monthly sales of over 10000 units. The best-selling gasoline car in August is still the Corolla Levin, with sales of 14700 units. Many car models have shifted their sales focus to hybrid versions, and pure fuel vehicles are becoming niche alternative models with limited budgets, no charging conditions, and a preference for traditional mechanical structures.
