Du Xiqi, Vice President of Lightwheel Intelligence: Stable employment of robots is the true watershed of the humanoid robot industry

At the 2026 World Robot Conference in Yizhuang, Du Xiqi, Vice President of Lightwheel Intelligence, made an industry judgment in an interview with the Economic Observer: whether robots can work stably is the true watershed of the humanoid robot industry. Unlike other companies on the market that focus on building ontology and large-scale models, Lightwheel Intelligence aims at the lowest level of embodied intelligence infrastructure, relying on human video data and simulation synthesis data as the foundation, using a large-scale simulation evaluation system for verification, and ultimately supporting the deployment of robots on the ground. The new data generated by on-the-job training is then fed back to the training stage, directly running the complete closed-loop of continuous learning for robots. Du Xiqi gave an easy analogy for this system: data is the textbook, simulation environment is the training ground, evaluation is repeated exams, and the new experience accumulated after deployment can be used to supplement the textbook. Robots can become smarter as they work like humans.
