The collapse of the Red Flag Grand Bridge in Aba, Sichuan has occurred, and officials have announced that traffic control has been implemented one day in advance with no casualties

On November 11th, the Hongqi Extra Large Bridge in Maerkang City, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province collapsed, with a large amount of rocks pouring down from the mountain. The bridge piers and decks near the side of the mountain fractured and collapsed. At 10:55 on November 11th, the Transportation Bureau and Public Security Bureau of Aba Prefecture issued a notice stating that on November 10th, cracks appeared on the road surface and slope at K381+030M, the right bank bridgehead of Hongqi Bridge in Shuangjiangkou, Markang City on National Highway 317, posing a safety hazard. Temporary traffic control measures were implemented on the Hongqi Bridge section of Shuangjiangkou, Markang City on National Highway 317. At around 4:00 am on the 11th, due to intensified deformation and landslide of the mountain, the roadbed and approach bridge of the section collapsed, and there were no casualties in the entire process.
